“Toei Panan/Pandanus” (Ton Lam Chiak) is a plant of the Pandanus family, commonly found in the mangrove forests of southern Thailand. The trunk is a large clump about 4-5 meters tall. The leaves are longer, larger and thicker than pineapple leaves. Handicrafts are woven from the very tough “Toei Panan/Pandanus” leaves. When thinning, remove the spines and set fire to them. The fibers then become soft. This local handicraft, such as beautiful fashionable handbags, is an art created by mixing shapes, textures and patterns. The products are detailed and carefully designed and matched in terms of patterns and colors. The products are beautiful, diverse, use local materials such as “Toei Panan/Pandanus” leaves for weaving and reflect the local ideology. Maintain
- Do not put stuff in the basket so tightly, causing the shape of the basket to be compressed until it loses its shape
- Recommended to be exposed to the sun periodically to maintain the durability of the basket
- Avoid exposure to water, or in a damp place. Put it in the sun immediately for 1-2 hours.
- Should not be stored in a humid place. Put the basket in a plastic bag, seal it tightly, and store it in a dry place.
- Do not press on the bag. Prevents deformation and loss of shape.
- Should put paper or a sponge inside the basket. Do not put stuff in the basket so tightly.
