“Pineapple Leaves” used to make fibers for the textile industry should have a life span of 1-1.5 years.
If you scrape off leaves that are too old, they will become rough and hard. Harvesting is done from the tree that has already cut the fruit and must be done 24 hours after cutting.
There are three methods of scraping to remove the fibers from “Pineapple Leaves”.
1. Manual separation of fibers (scraping)
2. Separation by immersion (water roasting)
3. Mechanical separation (deshelling machine)
